COVID-19 UPDATE

FOR AIRNORTH CUSTOMERS

Here at Airnorth, the safety of our customers and staff is our priority. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and to comply with directives as advised by the World Health Organisation, Centre for Coronavirus Disease Control, the Australian Government Department of Health and aviation industry authorities.

We’ve had to make some significant changes to our flying program as we follow Government and Border Force restrictions. We appreciate your patience and thank you for your support during this time.

FLYING WITH US DOMESTICALLY


Whether your flying to, from or within Australia, we encourage our customers to check local, state or federal government and authorities’ websites for the latest information on travel restrictions and border force controls as new measures to keep Australian’s safe are being introduced in response to Coronavirus and may impact you travel plans.

You're required to wear a mask on all Australian domestic flights.


Your face mask needs to cover your mouth and nose and must be worn unless you're under 12 years of age or have a medical condition.

When travelling within Australia, you'll need to wear your mask as soon as you enter the airport, and also inflight.

Ensure you’re aware of any government requirements that apply at your destination, including wearing face masks and coverings.

NEW ENTRY CONDITIONS INTO PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Airnorth have  been advised that all customers who have travel plans into Western Australia or intrastate within Western Australia must have an approved G2G pass.

NEW ENTRY CONDITIONS INTO QUEENSLAND

From 1am AEST Saturday 13 February, anyone who enters Queensland and has been in 36 local government areas in Greater Melbourne since 9 February will be directed to quarantine in government-arranged accommodation for 14 days

Most State and Territories do require travellers to complete an Arrivals form prior to your actual travel. Airnorth strongly encourage customers to review their destinations entry requirements prior to commencing your travel.

FLYING WITH US INTERNATIONALLY

Travelling with us to and from Darwin, Australia - Dili, Timor-Leste

Airnorth regrets to advise that services between Darwin and Dili have been temporarily suspended until further notice.

Customers who have a confirmed flight between the two destinations will be contacted and offered to place their booking into credit or a full refund.

Airnorth apologise for this inconvenience.

BOOKING CHANGES AND CREDITS


Plan your travel with confidence when you book with Airnorth.  


We have waived all change fees applicable for customers who have tickets issued between 01 September 2019 to 31 January 2021, with a travel period between 29 October 2020 to 30 June 2021.  Validity of active credits from 01 September 2019 will be extended from 12 months to 18 months from the date of ticket issue.


Customers who wish to cancel their bookings will be able to do so with the value retained in credit.


Flights can be rebooked but if the new fare is higher, a fare difference must be paid.


Due to high demand, we're experiencing some delays in call wait times and the processing of flight credits, refunds and other options.


If your flights were booked through Qantas code share, a travel agency or third-party website, contact these companies directly for assistance.

If we’ve cancelled your Airnorth flight, we'll rebook you on the next available flight to your booked destination, at no additional cost to you. Alternatively, you can choose a flight credit. You won’t be charged any change or cancellation fees. We’ll be contacting anyone whose flight has been impacted as soon as possible.

AIRNORTH INFLIGHT HEALTH AND WELLBEING


The health and safety of our customers and crew, is our highest priority. Travel is an important part of life, and we know there’s understandable concern about COVID-19.


While the risk of inflight transmission remains extremely low, we’ve introduced additional safety measures and updated our inflight services. We also strongly recommend you wear a face mask on all flights. If you do not have a face mask, please ask one of our friendly cabin crew who will provide one free of charge.


To date Airnorth has not carried any persons who have had COVID-19.


To minimise risk, Airnorth has undertaken significant measures to ensure your journey with us is safe and enjoyable.

Our regular cleaning and maintenance procedures have been amended to include a disinfect process with a unique antimicrobial technology that actively protects our treated hard and soft surfaces for up to 100 days.


All of our aircraft have been fitted with a Universal Precaution Kit in addition to the biohazard kit which include gloves, hand sanitiser and face masks to keep our customers and crew safe if in the event of a suspected case during flight.


STAY HEALTHY WITH GOOD HYGIENE


Here’s how you can stay safe when travelling:

  • Use hand sanitiser,

  • Cover your sneeze or cough with your arm

  • Wear a face mask when travelling
